Hi Sridhar,
I know u r the right person to ask all my queries regarding wage and salary administration.
Generally our approach is to design such structure which is best for the employee as well as organization. To mantain the uniformity at different levels we do set standard for eg. the grade system.
What factors we should consider while designing the salary structure. And what are the latest permissible limits of various allownances.
I dont know how to write all my queries, in one line i will say consider me a layman and please explain me in such a way that i can say that i am confident in this feild.
While i was in India i never had any stress as we were having preset standards to fix salaries at various levels and we just followed that chart.
But the important issue is how to do all this and that too without doing any legal violations.
thanks,
bibhutosh
