Labour licence is required to be taken for each Contract Location. In this regard you are are required to obtain Form V from the Principle Employer of the concerned location. Pls refer to your state rules for the fee that is required to be paid or approach a consultant

Dear Sir,
A contractor has to take location wise separate license where the no. of employees exceed 20. If there are less than 20 employees on any site, he need not take license for that particular site. However, the principal employer has to take a registration certificate to appoint a contractor irrespective of the no. of employees.

Dear Sir,
The role of principle employer is just to get the Registration Certificate issued to his establishment renewed.
As far as the renewal of License issued to the contractor is concerned, principle employer has no role in it.
