For us normally 8hrs working in a day. Due to company requirement, i continued work next shift (8hrs) on same day and took comp off on or before following week. Like that I did extra work and took comp off for 35 days in a year.

Next year, HR informed to me that i didn't present 240 days and I'm not eligible for having EL for this year. I told him that i was compensated 35 days and took leave. But he didn't count those days because I didn't have the physical presence on the compensated leave days. I'm claiming those days because I worked extra for company needs and I took off for the compensated.

Please clear me on this below query:

1. Does the HR count my compensated leaves for EL calculation?
2. Will I eligible to get EL?
