Hi Sandhya,
First, you need to understand them to handle them better. Be confident about what you are doing. Technical people always have unique thinking capabilities and most of the times are not adaptable to backend process. Stay cool... Talk to them very frequently (one at a time). Soon you will get along with them. Share personal thoughts rather than always discussing official matters. This is it for now. Catch me on .
Cheers.... Sharath

ီDear Sandhya,
One thing you do need to keep in mind about those technical geeks is: they can't be able to aware what is happening around them and they can't follow the disciplines and office procedures. They hate rules and regulations, but it's not intentionally and i found it as their habit according to my study on them. The only way you can work out to deal with them is just trying to be familiar with them and to understand them. And ask suggestions from them, while asking suggestions you can put all the things you want to set out into their minds and at the same time, you can see what do they want from you. But pls avoid giving them too much load regarding to the rules and pls think of yourself and be prepared just like you're in the group of pre-kg students. Trust me... they can give you a great return when they are pampered. :D

Dear Sandya,
Things work better with experience.
If you are new to this profession, be confident as your are groomed to take up challenges in a company as an HR. Be confident that you can rectify the company issue. Talk to yourself that you r doing it for the organisation not an indivdual - this will help you not become personal with any issues.
At the end of the day, solution is important.

Dear Sandya,
Relax, you are an HR Personnel thatz where you stand apart from them.
Its simple to handle any department people, if you can develop a habit of getting into opposite person shoes, look at the things from their point of view also & then frame your presentations or talks. Trust me then you can handle even the most tough person or trouble maker.
As Mr.Kranthi rightly said at the end of the day it doesn't matter who got the winning feeling, but all the things matters is whether could you take your Subordinates as Team in achieving your Goals & succeeded in what you wanted.

Dear Sandhya,

I would lyke to tell you one thing,“Understanding is the shortest distance”. So my kind suggestion is you should “move with them friendly” becos we are human not machines. You can ask suggestions from them. Sit and spend some time with everybody in our organization. Get good rap up. Use always word “Team work”. Don’t get confuse. Don’t separate yourself from the team. You are also one among the team in your organization.
““If u can't be a pencil to write anyone's happiness, try atleast to be a nice rubber to erase everyone's sorrows…………” If you apply this formula then u will get solution….
Wish you all the Best!!!....

There is a concept called Interpersonal Behavioural Styles that will help you to know about yourself. Because once you know about yourself it will be easy for you to understand others. To know about their personalities you should go for a psychometric assessment.

Hi Sandhya,
Adding to what Phanindra Sai A has said...
You need to delevelop 'YOUR OWN' people skills.
There will always be a variety of behaviours in any organisation. Dont try to study the behaviour of technical people or any specific category of people. Because what if you shift to another industry tomorrow? Will you go about researching each group?
Better to develop your own competencies by reading relevant books, attending workshops etc.
