Sir/Ma'am, I am working in an insurance company in field sales but was on duty when I got into an accident, which led to me being on leave as per the doctor's advice for bed rest. My company has informed me that we do not have specific medical leave provisions. They have instructed me to apply for general leave instead. I seek guidance on how I can avail medical leave and ensure my salary during that period.

Thank you for your assistance.

Since you have been in the role of sales promotion and the accident occurred while on duty, the employer is bound to grant you leave, medical expenses reimbursement, and even partial disability benefits as per the Employees' Compensation Act. Please proceed legally.
