Can anybody help me regarding the Social Security Act? Our organization is registered under the PF & ESI schemes. Some of our employees are not willing to be covered under the PF scheme but agree to contribute to the ESI scheme. Is it possible for an employee to only wish to be covered under the ESI scheme?

PF & ESI coverage is not at the discretion of the employer or employee's choice. It is statutory and needs to be followed compulsorily if the organization falls under the purview of ESI/PF as per applicability criteria.
