Dear All Seniors,

In many posts, it is mentioned that OT is part of the Gross Salary. Should we consider Overtime along with Gross Salary when registering employees for PMRPY? For example, if the Gross Salary of an employee is Rs. 14,000/- and the Overtime amount is Rs. 2,500/-, is that employee eligible, considering their overtime amount is not fixed? Please provide me with a solution.

Overtime allowance is part of wages, but it is not a fixed part. Therefore, overtime wages will not be considered for deciding coverage of PF and payment of contribution. As a result, an employee whose salary is Rs. 14,000 shall come under PMRPY.
