Seeking Advice on Handling Negative Online Reviews from Former Employee

One of the employees just left the company due to his personal issues. Now, after leaving the company, he is trying to spoil the company's reputation via online mediums such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social sites. He is posting negative reviews for the company and spreading rumors, such as the company being fraudulent, etc.

Can you advise me on how we can take actions against him so that he stops all these activities? It is affecting the company's business and clients. If there are any legal actions we can take, please let us know.

Just a simple and straightforward way: when he is causing losses in the company's business, file an FIR against him. Before filing an FIR, it is better to contact him and warn him. If the behavior continues, inform him that an FIR will be filed. If he refuses to stop, proceed as suggested in point 1.

Steps to Address Negative Online Posts

Take a copy of all the negative things the person has posted on social sites, complain to the cyber cell, and file an FIR. Prove that all he has been doing is fraudulent and get him arrested.

Collect the proof of his negative attempts to damage the company's business and send a notice through a lawyer for his illegal activities. Even after the notice through the lawyer, if he continues to do so, then file a complaint with the police station.
