Uttar Pradesh Governor BL Joshi Quits As Pressure Builds on UPA-appointees - NDTV

This thread is not to consider the plights of the governors but to understand what is justice and what is adaptability. Next, for life, what is superior: justice or adaptability? Joshi adapts as against justice(?). Some others will follow.

Nothing great, even the top men of the company bring their own people into powerful positions. This is what it is! Nothing to do with education, only negotiation.

By removing existing incumbents too?

“Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami called me twice last week (asking to demit office). I didn’t reply to him with anything... the Governor’s post is a constitutional post. He is a representative of the President, and he is appointed by the President. No responsible person has asked me in writing to be relieved of the post.

It's nothing new happening; it's customary for many in the past to resign voluntarily to avoid embarrassments faced by the incumbents. We can't find fault with anyone for these events. Legally, the present government has no constitutional jurisprudence, but prudence should prevail. After all, in India, these are mostly political appointments, often crucial for the ruling party in the central government to stabilize their stake in states ruled by the opposition, which is the crux of the problem now also. The present position also proves it. However, what is happening now is very much in the open and nasty. Incidentally, HR at the center will have no problem, but still, they cannot afford to remove them summarily by giving one month's notice or salary in lieu thereof. No bond also exists; the only chance is the Honorable President could help. Interestingly, was there any phone call from the Home Secretary to the President? Hu..hu..
