I have applied for PF withdrawal and attached a copy of my SBI account passbook, but my SBI account's date of birth is wrong. Do I need to update my date of birth details in the bank account for the PF claim? Please help me.

Verification of Bank Passbook for PF Withdrawal
Usually, bank passbooks are requested by PF authorities to confirm the correct account number, account holder's name, etc., since handwritten account numbers on PF forms are often not legible or are in a garbled condition. Since these are direct transfers to your bank account, to avoid mistakes, PF holders' bank details are verified from the bank passbook.
If your employer has attested your PF form, it is presumed that the date of birth written on the form is correct. However, if the PF authority notices a discrepancy in the date of birth, they may hold your form and ask for clarification.
Suggestion
At the time of form submission, along with the passbook, provide a letter stating that there is an error in the date of birth mentioned in the passbook. Also, attach some other documentary evidence where your correct date of birth is shown. If this letter is also certified by your employer, it will be really beneficial.
