Dear All,
I am very confused about which formula I should use for calculating the Attrition rate (%), monthly as well as quarterly and annually.
Which formula is correct:
1) Attrition = ((no. of attrition * 100) / (actual emp. + new joinee)) / 100
OR
2) Attrition = (no. of attrition) / ((Op. bal + Cl. bal) / 2)) * 100
Both formulas result in different percentages.
Please, I need your inputs and guidance on this, friends. Also, I need a standard formula that is used in every organization.
Thank you,
som

Dear Monica,
Thank you so much for attaching the Excel sheet for attrition calculation. I have used your sheet to calculate the percentage, but I noticed that in your sheet, both the formulas for Attrition 1 and Attrition 2 give different percentages.
My problem is determining which formula or percentage is correct. I am looking forward to your response.

Hi Monica,
I am in need of compensation and benefits details, as well as information on the various appraisal systems used across organizations. Are there specific appraisal systems followed by industries? If so, what are they and how do they differ? The systems I am interested in are:
1) 360-degree appraisal
2) Scorecard
3) Bell curve analysis
I am also interested in the methodologies most commonly used in appraisal systems that are practiced by many organizations. Kindly provide me with related documents and explanations, if possible, so that I can proceed further.
Please assist me at your earliest convenience. You can also send the information to the email addresses below:

Hi Monika,
This is in reference to the attrition calculator you have sent. Actually, I want to see the formula for the second sheet, which is password-protected. Can you please provide me with the password because the formula I am using has a different value?
