Hi,
SAP stands for "Systems Applications and Products" in data processing. It is the fourth-largest software company globally, following Microsoft, IBM, and Oracle.
There are three primary divisions in SAP jobs:
1) SAP Functional
2) SAP Technical
3) SAP Administration
SAP Functional consultants are responsible for configuring the SAP system, interacting with end-users to gather business requirements, and designing functional specifications. Various Functional modules in SAP include SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling), SAP PP (Production Planning), SAP WM (Warehouse Management), SAP HR (Human Resources), etc.
SAP Technical consultants develop programs using the ABAP programming language, design technical specifications based on functional specifications, and should possess cross-functional knowledge to work on modules like SAP SD, MM, and FICO.
SAP Administration consultants handle the installation and maintenance of SAP servers and need to be proficient in SAP BASIS.
Regards,
Abhishek

Hi All,
As I have three years of corporate sales experience, I am considering whether pursuing the SAP-SD course would be a good decision to enhance my knowledge and further my career. I am curious to know if investing in an SAP course would be valuable or if there are other recommendations for advancing my career path.
Thanks,
Shikha Tripathi
