Dear Charan,

I am not a commercially aware person. Nevertheless, common knowledge will tell us that we need to proceed with it like any other business. Follow the Labour Laws and approach the Registrar of Companies for registration under the Company Act. Incidentally, the Private Security Act (Regulations) was promulgated in 2005. Registration or obtaining a license under the Act may be explored.

Work out the training needs, if you are familiar with the trades. If not, send an IOM to the concerned departments to inform you about the subjects and approximate periods each will take.

Prepare a training schedule based on the availability of dates and times for training. The availability of the timeframe will need to be confirmed by your superiors. Often, production interferes with training.

Training programs should include details such as the venue, date, time, and instructor. Coordinate the program.

Pradeep

Dear HR Professionals,

You would have perceived that due to the pace of developments and the security implications thereof, Security Management is becoming that much more important. The client expectations on the standards of training of the security staff are becoming an issue. Training, being a matter dealt with by HR professionals whose hands are already full, need to foresee what is in store for them in the near future.

Dear Dr. Hetal,

I am attaching one file here, and I hope you have Hindi fonts loaded. I have the PowerPoint presentations, but no videos so far. Risk analysis is an important issue in identifying the gaps in the security of a premises/organization. To begin with, we should be well aware of the various terms that can assist us in understanding the matter.

Please find attached the presentation showing various terms and their definitions. Should there be any suggestions or errors, your response will be welcome.

Dear Friends,

Please share if you have conducted a "Risk Assessment" for the security of the industrial unit where an individual got injured while handling and preventing outsiders (referred to as "Gunda Elements") from entering the factory premises or blocking them outside the factory premises.

Security Training Module Suggestions

As a security personnel, I suggest preparing a training module that covers all routine security activities and trains personnel accordingly. Across the world, some important areas are common for industrial security personnel, such as:

- Visitors and customers management
- Contract workers management
- Checking of vehicles and personnel search at gates
- Receiving and sending production and non-production materials
- Warehouse and scrap area duties, and so on.

Please conduct a SWOT analysis for security training and find solutions through your company's or outsourced security in-charges.
