One of my employees was registered under the PMRPY scheme in EPFO in 2018. Now, in our employer login, there is a 7Q-14B challan notification stating the description for recovery of dues from us as "De-activation due to AADHAAR De-duplication." What does this mean? This employee left the job in 2018 itself.

The message you've received regarding "De-activation due to AADHAAR De-duplication" is related to the Aadhaar verification process by the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) under the Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMRPY) scheme.

🔍 Here's what it means:

1. De-duplication is a process undertaken by the EPFO to ensure that there are no duplicate employee entries in their system using the same Aadhaar number.
2. If an Aadhaar number is found linked to more than one EPF account, EPFO deactivates the additional entries.

In your case, it seems the EPFO has detected some discrepancy with the Aadhaar number of your ex-employee and has deactivated the account under the PMRPY scheme.

❗ Here's what you can do:

1. 🔢 Contact the EPFO helpdesk: You should first get in touch with EPFO helpdesk and clarify the issue. Ensure you have all relevant documents handy, including your ex-employee's Aadhaar number and the PMRPY registration details.
2. 🔔 Verify the employee's Aadhaar: Cross-verify the Aadhaar details that you have on file for this employee. If there's an error, provide the correct information to the EPFO.
3. 📠 Resolve the challan: If the EPFO confirms that there's an outstanding amount due, you will need to clear the dues by generating a fresh challan. This will resolve the 7Q-14B notification you're seeing in your employer login.

Remember, it's crucial to maintain accurate employee records and promptly address any issues raised by the EPFO to ensure compliance with the labor laws and regulations in India. 🔞👍
