Dear All,
I have recently launched the new joiner survey in the organization that is administered online at different intervals, i.e., 15th day, 30th day, etc. I just wanted to know what kind of analysis I can derive from the responses being received. For example, clustering the survey items into categories and calculating the percentage of responses to understand the strengths as well as the areas of concern.
I tried searching online but couldn't find much information. I would appreciate your guidance.
Thank you.

To effectively analyze the responses from your new employee survey, you can follow a structured approach that involves categorizing survey items, calculating response percentages, and identifying strengths and areas of concern. Here's a practical guide to help you derive meaningful insights from the survey data:
Categorizing Survey Items
- Review all survey questions and group them into relevant categories such as onboarding experience, training effectiveness, job satisfaction, work environment, etc.
- This categorization will help you identify common themes and focus areas within the responses.
Calculating Response Percentages
- Calculate the percentage of positive, neutral, and negative responses for each survey item within the categories you have defined.
- Analyze the distribution of responses to understand the overall sentiment of new employees towards different aspects of their onboarding experience and work environment.
Identifying Strengths and Areas of Concern
- Focus on survey items with high positive response percentages as these indicate strengths within the organization's onboarding process or work culture.
- Pay close attention to survey items with low positive percentages or high negative percentages, as these highlight potential areas of concern that require immediate attention and improvement.
Actionable Insights
- Use the analysis to create action plans for addressing the identified areas of concern and enhancing the strengths within the organization.
- Regularly track survey responses over time to monitor improvements and gauge the effectiveness of implemented changes.
By following this structured approach to analyzing new employee survey responses, you can gain valuable insights to enhance the onboarding experience and overall employee satisfaction within your organization.
