Dear All,

We want to hire a person on voucher payment for a monthly salary of Rs. 7000/- for 6 months. Please let me know whether or not we can have them for a duration of 6 months.

Please advise if there are any legal barriers for voucher-paid employment and what documents need to be maintained for this kind of employment.

Regards,
Pankaj Sharma

Dear,

Normally, the practice that you suggest is for Baldi workers. If the profile is not that, I suggest you have a fixed-term contract, which will dispel all doubts. These days, the level playing field should be clear and even. The more precautions you take, the more problems you get into. The best approach is the straightforward approach.

Sign a Contract Employment Agreement. Mention clearly the terms and conditions in the agreement. Also, include details about the salary. Along with the voucher, you can also take a salary statement.
