Hi, I am resigning from my job after maternity leave due to my baby's health issues. My service duration is 6 years. I joined on 1st December 2013 and my last working day will be 10th June 2019. I am wondering if I am eligible for the gratuity amount.
Regarding the notice period, it is 1 month, but if I serve only 20 days, what will happen? Can 10 days be waived from my leave? Will I be able to receive payment for the 20 days of the notice period? Please help me.

Hi,
You are very much eligible for gratuity. You can submit a request letter to your employer formally.
With regard to the notice period, it is based on your employment terms. Whether to serve a partial notice and adjust the balance notice against leave or pay, you can check with your employer. Considering your nature of exit, I hope your employer will be lenient in your case.
