Hi friends,

I want to know if a bank that falls under the Central Wage Rate category has a branch in a state where the State Minimum Wage rate is higher than the Central wage rate, which wage rate should the company follow for the employees working in that state (branch)? Please confirm and share any written proof for the same.

The particular state Shop & Est Act prevails, wherein the state minimum wages shall be implemented. I think you are talking about casual employment. I believe all regular employees of the bank would earn much higher wages than the minimum wages set by the state or central government.
