Dear All,

Greetings for the day!

Can a well-established private building company, which is in North India, take up public contracts in South India, specifically in Telangana? If yes, please guide me through the process.

Thank you,

You can take anywhere in India. You have to get registered with state sales Tax and get TIN. Labour licence to be taken there.

There is no restriction that says a state government will only give a contract to companies from that state. However, it is an area where nothing seems as it is on the surface. There are brokers who can secure contracts and arrange for the necessary resources. These matters are not to be discussed on an open forum. It is advisable to have a representative in Hyderabad/Vijayawada who is well-connected.
