I am working in a small IT company. Instead of an appointment letter, I received an employment letter from our organization. Will this be accepted by future companies? Thank you.

Dear Laxmikant, Please give more details about when you started working for the company and when you got the "Employment Letter".

Did you have an offer letter before you joined the company? If so, it appears that the so-called "Employment" letter is the same as the "Appointment" letter. Kindly read and digest the contents at http://www.differencebetween.info/di...intment-letter and give some more details. I am based in the UK and am not conversant with the practices in India.

No, I didn't receive an offer letter because when I joined this job, they conducted an interview and told me to start working. When I insisted that I needed a letter, they provided me with one.

This could be the company's terminology for an appointment letter. Why not ask the HR person about this, saying that usually companies give appointment letters—straight and short? What finally matters in the long term would be the experience and relieving letters when you leave this company.

Most standard companies follow the practice of sending an offer letter or appointment advice letter after a person is selected. This letter informs the individual of their appointment, designation, salary package, joining date, etc., enabling them to resign from their current company and join the new company by the specified date with a relieving letter.
Appointment Order Details
The appointment order, which includes detailed terms and conditions of employment, rules, regulations, reporting, notice period, and compensation package (3 to 5 pages), is issued upon joining. This is accompanied by standing orders, service rules, leave rules, etc., ensuring that the HR department completes all formalities of issuing the appointment order and induction after the person joins.
When an appointment order is issued in advance of joining, some individuals may not join, resulting in a wasted effort for the HR department.
The above practice of first sending an offer letter upon selection and then issuing a detailed appointment order upon joining can be followed as a general practice.
