Hi, I need your guidance. Please help me. I hold a master's degree in social work and have completed basic managerial skills from Xavier Institute. Currently, I am pursuing an MBA in HR through distance learning. I am now looking for a job in HR. My previous work experience was in marketing and administration. If an interviewer asks me, "Why should I hire you?" what should my reply be? Kindly assist me based on my work experience and education. Thank you.
Regards.

You have not mentioned how long you have worked in marketing and admin and in which type of industry you were employed, as it will also count in the interview.
Answering the Interview Question: Why Should We Hire You?
When an interviewer asks you why they should hire you, knowing you don't have experience in HR, there may be a few but exact answers, such as:
"Dear Sir, after completing my Master's/PG's, I was regularly searching for HR jobs for myself. I tried various places, but unfortunately, I didn't prove in the interview that I was suitable for their company. During my Master's, I gained appreciation, awards, attended seminars, etc. (You must have such evidence if answering the same).
It was and is my dream to be in HR in a big organization where I can give my best and get good exposure, which enhances my knowledge as well as my CV's strength. Hence, finally, I got an opportunity in the above organization, and I joined there to avoid a gap in my career. As a fresher, no organization hired me as an HR, hence finally I joined. After joining, I didn't lose hope to work as an HR, and I kept searching for jobs, and now I am here for an interview. Though I don't have core experience in HR, as HR looks after major departments of any organization and has to deal with mostly all departments, I think my experience in marketing and admin will help me to perform my job as an HR. Even if the company gives me a chance to work, then definitely my prior non-HR experience will support me to perform my job.
The company will get a more experienced employee rather than an HR fresher.
I seek a chance to prove myself."
Enhancing Your Interview Presence
As a professional, you may condense, edit, or upgrade the above answers and put them in the proper way in front of interviewers to satisfy them. Apart from the above tricks, they must find you suitable through your answers, body language, your hold on the subject, and your interest level in this job as well as in this company. Make sure and make them believe that you are pure HR material with experience and knowledge of admin and marketing.
Best Wishes.
