My friend is working in a manufacturing company (Proprietorship) in the accounts department. She is neither on payroll nor on a contract basis in her organization; we can say she is outsourced. She is the only female employee on the staff.

Also, she is pursuing an MBA through correspondence. The problem is that she requires a half-day gate pass twice a month for her educational work. However, the company's General Manager and another colleague have an issue with this. They always make it a topic of contention. The GM even told her to choose between her job and her MBA. She cannot leave this job now, and the organization does not provide her with any notice period.

Provision for Outsourced Employees

What is the provision for this kind of employee? Please cooperate.

Granting or not granting permission is solely on management discretion. Management can consider on compassionate grounds. If they are rigid, she has to chose which one to continue. Pon

Everything goes fine as long as the management is happy with the employee. If there is a change in the management's stance, it may be construed that the employee in question is a liability to the company and they are trying to get rid of him/her. This is an indication, and he/she should look for a better place.
