Safety Training in the Chemical Industry
In the chemical industry, the primary concern is safety, particularly regarding chemical reactions, materials, and equipment handling. In this context, the majority of the training should focus on general safety, SOPs, cGMP, MSDS, equipment handling, and the process.
To achieve and implement this, every employee should be proactive, well-communicated, and highly skilled in analysis, planning, and organizing; hence, the need for behavioral training. Plan a minimum of 24-48 hours (3-6 days) per annum for technical/on-the-job/safety training according to organizational needs. The technical aspects need to be discussed with immediate superiors, HODs, and the Head of Safety to plan effectively.
