Designing a Training Program for First-Line Managers
I am working on my winter project, which involves designing a training program for first-line managers in the 30-year age group, with some members having 8-10 years of work experience. The company is a marketing firm. Could you please assist me with how to proceed and suggest which training methods to include?
Thank you.

First, you need to identify which "Training" is needed. Clarify what you would train them on. Parameters such as "Assertive sales," "Keeping your cool," or "Managing Juniors," etc., can help since they are experienced and belong to the marketing function. For this, you shall have to talk to their HODs or superiors.
Next, you shall have to find a trainer who can impart the required training. Ensure the trainer you select is established, experienced, and influential. If budget is not a problem, then you should hire an experienced and well-established trainer.
Next, you shall have to confirm the course outcome with the HODs on the line of what course outline the trainer provides you with. This will help in the Training Effectiveness and also impart knowledge to the Marketing people.
Next, arrange for the training administration like projectors, laptops, writing supplements, whiteboard, markers, dusters, speakers, etc. For this, you need to confirm with the Trainer.
Meanwhile, you need to see if the training can be done in-house or you need to arrange for outdoor training like in a hotel's conference room or the trainer needs an open-air-like place. Hence, accordingly arrange for food/snacks/tea-coffee for trainees and the trainers.
I hope this helps you. My input might be limited. Suggestions and modifications (even likes) are welcome!
Wish you all luck and take care. Kip Smilz!!!
