Hi all, My friend received an offer from a company. The company sent him an email with the subject "Offer letter," but the actual attachment had a subject "Employment letter" and also a "T&C of Employment" document. He signed the Employment letter as well as the T&C and sent them back to the company. There is still about a month before his scheduled joining date. Now, he is considering rejecting the offer. Before signing the documents, he made sure of the following things:
1. It's not a contract.
2. It's not a bond.
3. There is no mention of legal consequences if the offer is declined.
4. It is stated that the probation period begins from the date he starts his services, and that either party can terminate the employment agreement by giving notice.
He has not started working for the company nor received any property or material from them. Would it be appropriate to politely reject the offer with some valid reasons?

If you ask for any suggestion from seniors, you should display your name because this shows effective communication between parties. OK, now to your point. This is not an appointment letter for employment, and there is no legal obligation on this. A person can receive more than one offer letter at the same time from different industries or companies, and it does not mean that you will join every industry or company at the same time. An offer letter signifies a mutual understanding between an employee and an employer regarding joining rather than working. So, don't be afraid; just write a letter expressing your unwillingness to join.
