Hello Everybody,

I am a management summer trainee and need your help in preparing SOPs for on-job, off-job, behavioral, and other developmental programs. These SOPs are general in nature, i.e., not specific to any company. Please help me with this.

Thanks and regards,
Arpita

SOP is a step-by-step activity in achieving your objective. The contents should be:

- Objective of the SOP
- Standards/References Used
- Sub Topic 1
- Inputs
- Step-by-step activity
- Outputs
- Sub Topic 2
- Inputs
- Step-by-step activity
- Outputs
- ...
- Sub Topic n
- Inputs
- Step-by-step activity
- Outputs

Include the records used during the activity flow and the constraints you may face during execution.

For more guidance, start by outlining the general activity on a sheet of paper before proceeding. For example, with HR, the main aspects are Recruitment, Training and Development, performance appraisal, etc.

Detail how recruitment will be conducted:
1) By sourcing on the internet, etc.
2) Through references
3) Shortlisting procedures
4) Interview scheduling process
5) Selection criteria
6) Position closure
7) File management post-recruitment

Similarly, outline processes for Training and Development, performance appraisal, and other relevant activities.

Best of luck!
