Right now, I am working in a software company as a software engineer. I wish to pursue my MBA in B-Schools, but I do not have a background in management studies, and my working experience is only one year.
My question is: can I pursue an MBA degree in B-Schools? If so, please provide me with the names of Management Institutions along with some details.

Hi,
Consider pursuing an MBA through correspondence from Pondicherry University or the PGSEM program at IIM Bangalore (which requires taking the CAT exam).
Another option to explore is the Satellite Education Course offered by XLRI. Please make sure to verify the eligibility criteria, especially in relation to work experience.
Best regards,

Hi,
To do an MBA, there is no need to have a management background, and also, work experience doesn't matter; vice versa, it is an edge for further studies. I'm from Pune and do not have any idea about the institutes in TN. But if you are ready to relocate, there are ample good B-schools in Pune, or else you can also find institutes in Bangalore which are feasible.
Bye,

Hi, even I am trying for the same, but first, you need to take exams like XAT, SNAP, and GMAT. CAT dates are done. The next question is if you want to do it right now or opt for an Executive MBA. (Having one year of experience is still considered fresh for screening.) For an Executive MBA, you would need to have 2-3 more years of experience.
What I can suggest is if you are considering quitting your job and pursuing an MBA immediately, try applying for MAT (easier), XAT, SNAP, and GMAT, get the scores, and then choose the college you prefer. However, this decision also depends on the specialization you choose. Good luck!
