Hi all, recently, I have joined an organization and I would like to request a 2-day leave. However, I am unsure of the official format for a leave letter. Could someone please provide me with a sample leave letter format?
Thank you and regards,

Dear Friend,
I believe there is no specific format to follow when applying for leave; you can write in your own style. For example, you could write something like the following:
Dear Sir,
I would like to request leave from [start date] to [end date] for personal reasons or any other purpose you may deem fit. Therefore, I kindly ask for your approval of my leave.
Thank you,
Yours faithfully.
This is just a suggestion, and you can certainly improve upon it. I wish you all the best.

Pavinisiri,
There is no hard and fast rule as such. Every company has its own format wherein an employee fills it out and gets it approved. Even if there is no specific format, you can write it on your own - haven't you been trained in school on how to write a leave letter?
Please share something that is quite challenging and you are unable to solve with your experience so that others can come to the rescue.
Thanks,

I agree with V. Balaji's opinion.
Leave letters are the first 'application letter' format taught in schools. I think ignoring one's school education adversely impacts the whole personality of an individual. I hope parents will keep this in mind to ensure all-round development of their children.
Wherever in any organization, there are no forms/formats/leave-books for applying for leave, one's school education would come in handy. One need not be a graduate just to write a letter/application for leave.
Warm regards.

Dear Pavansiri,
It's a very simple funda that if you are looking for a 2-day leave, just call your boss and say, "Boss, I have viral fever and am unable to attend the office for 2 days." It is understood that viral fever usually lasts for 3 to 5 days. I think this is the best format for your leave.
Best of luck,
