Hi guys, I am pursuing a PhD on the topic of human behavior. I just wanted to know whether it will be useful for my career. I am also in a bit of a dilemma about whether Organizational Behavior is different from human behavior or if both are the same.

Thank you.

Understanding Human and Organizational Behavior

Human behavior is inherent in each individual, which means their characteristics, way of behaving, and thinking are unique features. Organizational behavior, on the other hand, refers to the culture of a group or company, distinct and felt uniquely within each organization.

Organizational behavior looks at individual behavior, then moves to group behavior, and progresses to organizational behavior, which can also be referred to as organizational culture. It requires skills to understand how the organization and its members affect each other. Areas include frameworks for diagnosing and resolving problems in organizational settings. Human behavior, or individual behavior, is a subset of organizational behavior.
