Hi everyone, I am conducting research on soft skills and cross-cultural training for a company as part of my internship project. I wish to know if anyone can help me with some details on how cross-cultural training is conducted in large companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, as well as telecom giants like Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, and so on. Additionally, I am interested in learning about the topics generally covered during such training.

Thank you.

Understanding Cross-Cultural Training for Expats

If you are looking forward to understanding cross-cultural training for expats, it starts with an orientation about the new workplace they will be shifting to. Next comes the style for business correspondence, if that would change. Then comes clothing for employees shifting from different time zones. A few immigration details need to be kept in the loop, such as keeping a photocopy of the passport. Handholding on how to handle sensitive issues is an important part.

Most of the time, employees come with a very open mind, hence it is not very difficult to train them. A few books are suggested to the trainees at the end of such an orientation program.
