As per the Factories Act and the Shops and Establishment Act, can you clarify whether the lunchtime is included in the working hours, i.e., 8 hours per day, or if it is 8 and 1/2 hours including lunch?

Lunch Breaks and Working Hours
Lunch hours do not include the 8 hours of work; they are excluded from the 8-hour work period. An employee is entitled to a lunch break after 4-5 hours of work. Following lunch, the employee is required to work for the remaining 3-4 hours. The Factories Act/Shops and Establishment Act provide provisions for breaks, but these breaks are not considered part of the working hours.
