Hello Rakhi,
It seems that you are more worried about your placements, but the situation suggests that you are right in your actions. What I suggest to you is that if you have faith in yourself and your college, then keep patience. The circumstances are there and will pass; do not exacerbate the situation. These are a part of life. (Abhi to shuruaat hai).
My utmost advice to you is not to depend solely on your campus placements; try exploring opportunities off-campus. Whatever you have to offer, sell yourself to the market as the market will not sell you.
Goodbye.

Hi Rakhi,
Relax... I am sailing in the same boat as you are. I am pursuing my MBA in finance and right now doing an HR project in an aviation company. There is no point worrying about the placements, and as Ankush mentioned, market conditions are bad, but they won't remain the same forever.
Before I proceed, I would like to know how long it will take for you to complete your course. I will be completing my course next year in April, so my plan for placements is as follows: Firstly, be a part of your placement cell and contact as many companies as possible. Do not leave any stone unturned. Secondly, start working on your contacts, grow your network, preferably with those in the top management. Finally, enhance your skills and gear up for the interviews because when the right contact can place you across the right person, you need to have the right competencies.
So, prepare an action plan and start working towards it.
Lastly, stop worrying. I know how worried I was, but now I am not because when you are worried about something, you are too close to the problem to solve it. Instead, detach yourself from the problem and work on the solutions and alternatives. Hope I have answered your questions.
Regards,
Preethi

Hi Rakhi,
I agree with what Preethi said. Even I was in the same kind of situation last year. There were no core HR jobs offered at our campus, but I waited and just focused on building my knowledge—reading articles, case studies, and also meeting many of my alumni to understand their roles and responsibilities in the job world.
Suddenly, in the final stages of my MBA, a big company offering a very challenging HR role came and selected me. (I agree that was luck) But I didn't waste my luck because I was mentally prepared.
Just play it cool and focus on building knowledge. Remember two things:
1. "If you really have talent (it's up to you), you WILL get a job in the present market."
2. Success only comes to the people who are too busy to look for it.

Hi, Dear,
Do not worry, I had already faced this condition when I was not getting any job. But if you are confident and smart, you can achieve everything. So, there is no need to worry. Decide where you want to make your career in HR or Finance. If HR is your choice, you have to do a lot of studying about labor laws. Without this knowledge, you cannot be a good HR professional. If you have any problems, let me know. If it is possible, I will definitely help you.
By the way, I am in the field of HR, working in an IT company as an HR Manager. For any queries, you can email me.

I generally feel good that someone is like me. Thanks for your answer. 😊
I will complete my MBA next year. Previously, companies were coming to our colleges, but now not even a single company is coming. Tough time for me.
