dear all
we open a New manufacturing unit in pune. in this unit 8 worker and 7 staff members are working right now. it is comlsory for us to register in factory act or other act and what are the legal complience for that unit
Pf & ESI is applicabe because more than 10 member. what Others?

as per law if u have more than 10 workers working with aid of power or 20 workers working without power.now in your case 15 strength ,might be working with power so u should be registered under factories act.
pls let me clear u that whether u call staff or office or manager ,as per factories act all should be counted in strength .pls donot add other act where position is different for defining workmen and staff. For getting registration even security personnel are also counted.Except PF all acts relating to labour are applicabe to ur factory like ESI,gratuity,bonus,payment of wages,minimum wages etc
PF applicablity will become 10 personnel very soon.no notification as yet.
