Hi to both,
It depends on your knowledge and experience. What is taught is mostly theory and you now have to put it in practice but other people in the organisation may be more knowledgeable about several aspects in HR. I think you could do other courses but focus on experience. Psychology is good for HR especially organisational since you need to understand people in order to recommend certain programmes and training courses. Psychometric is good also so you could check them out. I am also a holder of an MBA in HR. At present it is difficult to obtain a manager's job in this area because the years of experience is vast. I might settle for an officer and then get the manager.

Dear Annu
An authorized SAP certification will cost you in between 1 to 1.5 lac you may have to look for Authorized centres only. On the other hand if you will go just for training and local certification it should be withing 30 to 35 K only.
there are lots of computer institutes providing the training ..,,, like NIIT and others. Based to your best ....you may opt any of this.
warm wishes

Dear members!

After MBA(HR), if anybody opts for Psychology/ psychotherapy, it becomes an excellent value addition for a HR person to know about the personality/ perception/ thought process/ behaviour/ attitude of fellow workers as well as it also assists to realise why a person is frequently absent and many more such attributes a person carry. These HR people may further go in for training and development and may become resource person for the organisation in which they are working. For Psychotherapy, IPMS Mumbai offers 2 yrs course MS/ M Sc (Counselling & Psychotherapy) in collaboration with Global open University Nagaland and may also do course on Transaction Analysis (TA) or may do courses run by ISABS, all of these courses are unique and very demanding. if you have any further queries relating to TA, may feel free to contact me as I have PG Diploma in career Counselling, MS (Counselling & Psychotherapy), M Phil (Counselling & guidance), MBA (PM&HRD) and presently pursuing Ph D in psychotherapy.
