Hi,
I would like to know some new tactics to be involved into recruitment. We do follow the usual technics of recruiting candidates, say for example. We conduct job fairs, job portals, walk-ins,referrals,campus recruitments, and consultancies. Now my question is to know wether any other sourcing strategies are there at a lower cost?. Because the above mentioned strategies cost at a higher rate.....
Please get some ideas,,,,,,
Thanks & Regards,

Hi,
I have heard that many companies use blogs to recruit people. Blogs do give a perspective about the overall nature of a person. I dont know of any company in India that uses it.
If anybody has used blogs to recruit kindly share their experience on the same.
Thanks,
Ligy Jose

Hi Pradeep,
The channel tactics you use will differ by grade by position, you cannot get the best results by applying a one channel fits all formula.. what i mean is that the approach will be differ for a junior to a higher position. Of couse, we all know this but the innovative way will depend on which area are you recruiting.
lets toss a few ideas here...
lets call it a go where your candidates are approach.. this could be getting a labourer from a dockyard, to a techie from a blogpost or a PR specialist through social media, or a temp staff through a coaching class, or an artist via a mitra mandal (assuming lot of people know what that means)..
The question you have raised is very interesting and thought provoking, and it will be fun to toss some ideas around.. Let us know what positions are you targetting for us to get our thought process rolling..
All the Best

One thing could be done, like involving them for a project and making them getting accustomed to company's culture and workplace and later recruiting them permanently if they and the company wishes. A Win/Win situation for both sides.
