Hi,
Better you do your duty dont expect anything like support and help from others. Do it in your own way and style. One day you will be accepted by all, and it is a good experiance( I mean to handle such difficult situation) which you may not get in another firms. So be positive and Continue with your ideas it will help you to grow up in all levels.... All the Best...

You already told whatever reports you are making. Now for more you can ask it to your director or the person whom you are reporting.

Dear,
Pooja
I believe you are like Lamb of God....... its good trust me...... but please let them know that a Lamb of god can also give them a strong bite...... please ignore such rackers as if they don't exist...Your director is supportive and that is more then enough.... do take your go-ahead from him only. Do not leave this job unless and until u loose your total confidence..do your work with full efforts and be strong enough.. and like physical harassment give them a lesson by forwarding a official complain letter to your super dean and then to your local PS and bash them tightly.........i know that you can do it so take a long breath, boost your energy and just go-ahead..... may god bless you DEAR..................................:):):)

Hi Pooja,
I like to suggest you some points to work in engineering company.
1)The work culture between software and engineering companies are different. If you join recently then first observe the work nature of your organisation. In a day or month you could not change any organisation it will take some time.
2)To follow your tricks do not bother your senior or junior. While starting any new activity you have to take in confidence to your seniors which are from your department or from another. Otherwise they will start thinking negatively.
3)You are thinking only on the basis of HR but it is engineering company and they prefer production first.
4)Br firm on your own but respect others. It is worst experience about physical harassment but slapping is not only a permanent solution. Try to make a respectful culture each other.

Dear Pooja,

I read what you have been undergoing, the best thing that I can suggest you is... try doing a one on one with eah employee when you find time. Ask them questions of positive and negetive things and the changes that they are willing or not willing for. Make a list and arrange to discuss the same with your director. I'm sure this way you will understand your better planning. However being a women I understand that the hicupps that would arise in the good deed that you plan for. However, they may be hundreds who say you are wrong but one support can get you all done. The more you take stress and call it a trouble it would be forever. Call it a "Women power", empower your thoughts, the position that which you're now is a critical and holds utmost value. An HR Manager manages the Human Resource. By now I'm sure you must have understood what I'm saying. Take the challenge and prove it!!

Any thing feel free to write. Good Luck!!

Cheers...........................

I have been to IT to Manufacturing to Retail
I would suggested you to make policy that not only make you strong enough to take some disciplinary action and ensure the same are been followed by every one.
Restrict your conversation with your subordinate and other manager.
Reduce your subordinate work and take a new employee on board - this will make them feel job insecurity. This helps in making them follow your orders. If this does not help, your new subordinate is ready to take over and remove the old one with ease.
Ensure Factory Act & ID act is through, you will require for every bits and pieces.

Hello Pooja
(1) First of all let us know that Are you being paid higher (salary) than other when comparing your qualification, experience etc with others in a similar position in other depts.
(2)How was the previous HR Manager doing or is it a new position which you have taken up?
(3) Are there any gender bias?
(4) Your co-workers are are senior or elderly and you are younger by age.?
(5) How can you have fun activities two times a week, where you will have time, to what type of employees you organise these activities?
(6) Do not loose your heart, things will die down over a period of time and you can relax after 3 to 6 months.
Best of Luck
