how do i calculate salary for an emloyee (contractual labour) who has reported to work as per roster on a national holiday (say 15th Aug)
supposing his hourly salary is 'x'
which of the below calculation for an eight hour working day valid??
a. sal for 15 aug = 2*(x*8) = 16x
b. sal for 15 aug = 2*(x*8) + (x*8) = 24x
Seeking your kind suggestions on the same.

if the employee has worked on 15th Aug then His calculation will be his regular salary + 15th Aug at double rate
i.e (x*8) + 2(x*8) i.e. your 2nd options is correct.
