This is Praveen. I have recently joined a software company with a staff strength of 15-30 employees, which is newly established. I need to set up the HR functions and policies here. Please provide guidance on setting up PF, ESI, and other legal rules and regulations that are important for a software company.

Dear Praveen,

It is very difficult to discuss all rules and regulations here; however, if you have any specific problems, then you can discuss.

Regarding ESI - you have to take a number once you have the requisite number of employees.

PF code will be required when your employee count reaches 20 on any given day.

Please find enclosed the document through which you can obtain some basic and important information. In ESI, each employee's salary should be below ₹10,500. In case of any issues with PF and ESI, please call me at 9711175838 in Delhi.
