Dear Shweta,

There is no particular format for bond letters. Companies prepare them according to their own needs and requirements. Just follow the normal appointment clauses with the exception of the notice period clause and replace it with the clauses which state that the person will be working from such a period to such a period and in case of variation from the same, he or she will be liable to pay a certain amount to the company as compensation. Keep in mind that the basic objective of the bond letter is to bind the employee with the company for a particular period of time. Try preparing one yourself and get back. I will help you to rectify it if required.

Hi All,

I am also facing an issue where an employee from my parent company needs to be sent on deputation to the subsidiary. What would be the execution of the agreement and how will the retirement/statutory benefits be applicable to the deputee as he would be continuing his service with the next employer.

Regards,
Sushmita

Hi, for a bonded employee who signs the agreement with the bond term of 1 year, usually the employee pays to the company if he/she leaves within 1 year. What if the company asks him/her to leave, will the company pay him/her? Any experience? Thanks.

In the scenario of a bonded employee who has signed an agreement with a bond term of 1 year, typically, the employee is required to pay the company if he/she leaves before the completion of the bond period. However, the situation may differ if the company initiates the departure of the employee. In such cases, it is essential to clarify the company's policy on compensation in these circumstances.

If you have any experience or insights on how such situations are handled, please share. Thank you.

Hi sir, this is Narendra. Recently, I was appointed as a 'Legal Consultant' in a 'Social Media Company', and my work involves handling all legal issues, particularly in the field of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Although I am new to this subject, I am required to prepare agreements with political figures, film celebrities, actors, and others to promote their images, videos, movies, etc., through platforms like 'YouTube', 'G+', and more. For this task, I need your assistance in obtaining the latest formats of 'Service Provider Agreements,' 'Assignment Agreements,' 'Audio Agreements,' and other agreements related to the IPR subject. I hope to receive your help in this matter.

It is right if the employer tells the employee to sign the one-side bond. One side means that the bond mentions if the employee leaves the job or the company terminates the employee due to any reason before the 3-year tenure, then the employee has to pay 3 lakh as compensation for the 2-month training. Is it legal?
