Can someone help me with the details of certification courses in HR which are available online or in Abu Dhabi? I have completed my Masters in Human Resource Management and have more than 4 years of experience.

Hello Adnan,
I am a graduate in Psychology, and I have 5 years of work experience in Abu Dhabi in Administration. I am currently employed as an Office Administrator, and part of my responsibilities would require me to handle HR-related work. Although nothing too technical, I am keen to use this opportunity to enhance my skills and obtain a certification.
An MBA is too expensive, and I find it too general as I am looking for only HRM/HRD certification. The only institute I know that offers that is Middlesex University (MA in HRM). However, recently I have come across the PHR/SPHR certification.
Can you tell me what the difference is between the two, and would it make sense for me to pursue this certification even though I have not done my MBA?
Thanks, Amanda

Hello Adnan,
My question is somehow similar to Amanda's. I have a BA in English Literature, and I have worked as an Executive Assistant and Personal Assistant to Directors. Part of my responsibilities was also handling HR-related work. I have 10 years of work experience in the administration field. Although I've been promoted to a customer service manager last year, I still feel like pursuing a career in HR. I need to shape my experience and improve it with a certification. An MBA would be too expensive for me now. I would like to know if there are any institutions or universities in Abu Dhabi that offer HR courses.
To be quite honest, I'm not into online learning. I prefer a classroom setting with interaction with a tutor and a group. Please let me know if there are any institutions in Abu Dhabi that offer evening classes and a certified HR degree at a reasonable cost.
Many thanks.

I need clarification on HR courses. I am an HRMS (IT professional) with 4+ years of experience in implementing/analyzing HRMS systems in different companies in the UAE. I would like to transition into a purely HR functional role, such as an HR generalist. Can anyone suggest if obtaining the CHRP certification would be the right choice to further my career? Currently, I am exploring opportunities and feel that now is the ideal time to pursue additional courses. Please guide me.
Thanks
