Hello All,

I have a request as I need to draft a warning letter for an employee who left the job without informing the management and who owes some loan money to the company. I would appreciate it if any of you could assist me with a similar letter draft.

Hi Sayali,

While dealing with such a scenario, please make it as legally strong as possible on the company's side. Before sending a warning letter, send an intimation telegram asking to report to the office. If there is no reply to the telegram within 24 hours, then initiate the warning letter. Ensure everything is well-documented; for example, send it through a courier service like Blue Dart or DHL, known for their reliable delivery, rather than local couriers. Attached is the template for the initial steps. Please consult a legal advisor if the amount involved is significant.

Thanks,
Roopa

Thank you, Roopa. I also had a similar case in my organization. I was pondering how to recover the due amount since the employee hasn't turned up so far. Your letter and advice have provided me with a wonderful approach on how to teach him a lesson in management language.

Thanks again,
Surabhi
