Hi,

There is a friend of mine who is working as an S/W test engineer in an MNC with approximately 4 years of experience. Now that she is getting married, she has to relocate to a new city and has resigned from her current organization. The new city she is relocating to doesn't have IT companies, so she is anticipating that there could be a career break until the couple moves to a metro city.

The question now is, if there is a break in her career, would it cause problems in searching for a new job?

Thanks,
Sudeep

Hi,

It does, to some extent, but it actually matters how one represents oneself at the time of the interview. She can brush up on her knowledge at home and prepare herself for the interviews. She can also prepare her portfolio, mentioning her work.
