Dear HR Family,
I am posting very useful information. In the attached Excel sheet, simply input the first four digits of any mobile number, and it will provide you with the name of the service provider (such as Hutch, Airtel, Idea, Reliance, etc.). It will also indicate whether it is a GSM number or a CDMA phone. Moreover, it will give you details about the telecom circle, such as whether the number belongs to Maharashtra Circle, Gujarat Circle, North Circle, etc.
I am confident that this will be greatly beneficial to most of you. Please share your feedback on this information that I am providing.
Thanks & Regards,
Rohit Joshi

Hello all,
I can update this for you, people, but I don't have the updated number series. If you could tell me which new numbers/series (only the first 4 digits, e.g., 9740) belong to which state and network, I could add it to the sheet. I need the data in this fashion.
9740 - Hutch, Kolkata
9765 - Airtel, Chennai
Anyone care to build one by one? Post it here... whatever new series you come across.
Regards,
Rahuul

Thanks for the very useful info. The sheet is password-protected; I can't input the first four digits of the mobile number to trace the location. Somehow managed to gather information, but is it possible to get an updated codes .xls? Some codes I found are not allocated, showing as not working.

Dear Rohit,
Good effort on providing information. I have two suggestions:
1. If possible, provide up-to-date information on mobile numbers.
2. If possible, include detailed levels of mobile location, such as city, district, and state. Currently, the information is at a broad level.
Thanks,
Jasveer
