Hi Anuradha,
I'm no SAP expert, but as far as I know, SAP HR Payroll is a sub-module of the bigger SAP HR module. So, if you learn SAP HR, you would get to learn SAP HR Payroll as well (along with other sub-modules such as Org Management, Personnel Development, etc.).

Hi Neeraj,
Thanks for the reply. I went to an organization, and they have shown me two different modules: one is SAP HR and the other is SAP HR Payroll, so I'm a bit confused. In SAP HR, they will cover the personal management and organization-related tasks, while in Payroll, they will mostly cover the payroll and salary parts. Could you please suggest?
Thanks.

Hi Anuradha,
If you are into HR, decide upon the course based on your functional area. If you are currently a generalist with an interest in Compensation and Benefits management, it would be good for you to learn SAP Payroll. However, if your interest is towards employee engagement and Org Development, go for the SAP HR course. You'll have to think of your career progression path and then decide upon the course. Discuss with your Superior and get feedback from him/her, and then decide.
If you are a student and want to become an SAP Consultant, decide the course based on your interest. If you want to be an HR professional, wait until you have some HR Functional knowledge before you do the course.
