Dear Friends,
I will be completing my 3-month training as part of MSW - IRPM by August 09. How should I prepare myself for the interview at this time of recession? Please suggest.
Thanks.

Hi Edward,
Shimit here.
The thing is, first of all, forget about the recession. Let me tell you one thing, "Obstacles are the only things that stop you from achieving your goal." So, stop thinking about obstacles and concentrate on your knowledge. When I say knowledge, I don't mean just knowledge related to books or your job; I mean focus on whatever field you excel in. Concentrate more on that. Then, during interviews, shape your responses around the area in which you excel. So, don't worry, just chill and relax.

The presentation is indeed accurate! I myself am someone who looks for a lot of these points while conducting interviews. However, most candidates fail to realize that body language plays a crucial role while an interviewer is evaluating a candidate.
Just one more tip: Be natural! It is always better when you are comfortable while you are following any advice. Understand why you have to follow certain etiquettes; know why they are important. Unless you are not convinced, you cannot convince/fool the other side!
Thank you.

That was a great PPT. Thanks, Raghunath, for sharing. Among many other things, I would also like to add that showing interest in the job by asking questions is important, but never sound desperate for the position. This behavior can come across to the interviewer. Don't let it show in your body language and answers how badly you need the job.
