Hi,

There is an institute named Zupiter Technologies in Chennai that is offering a course in SAP HR along with placements. Texas Technologies is also a good institute in Chennai that offers these kinds of courses. You can find out if there is an institute called SIEMENS INFO SYSTEMS LIMITED (SISL) in Chennai that is again offering a specialized course in SAP HR.

Hope this information will be of help.

Hi,

Do you know of any institutes offering this course in Mumbai? I also have a query regarding the confirmation letter. Please help me out. I want to know who will sign the confirmation letter. Should HR put their signature on the confirmation letter?

Seema

Hi Seema,

Institutes offering SAP courses in Mumbai are:
- Genovate Systems
- I think Reliance is also offering a course in SAP
- Sapient College
- Narsi Monji (Management Institute) is also offering a course in SAP

Certification examinations are directly administered and controlled by SAP through stringent online certification exams.

I would like to add a word of caution: There are many institutes in all metros which are unauthorized. These centers lure people with SAP training and job placements. Training from these unauthorized institutes is illegal. They can be a little cheaper than the authorized institutes.

On to the other question, Seema. Generally, there are only two or three authorized signatories in the organization. Upon confirmation, any of these related to HR can sign.

I think the HR Head in your company should also be an authorized signatory so that he/she can sign the confirmation letter.

Cheers,
Archna

Tips for Selecting a SAP Training Institute

If you are considering joining a private institute, here are some key questions to ask:

1. Do they provide preparation for the SAP certification test? (Very Important)

2. Request for statistics, such as the number of individuals trained to date, job placement rates in India and abroad, average wait time before employment, companies hiring from the institute, average bench period for those securing jobs abroad, as well as average salaries in India and abroad. Also, inquire about the distribution of roles in functional consultancy versus ABAP/4. Note that you may end up in ABAP/4 programming, so ensure it aligns with your goals.

3. Check if the institute has a parent company and inquire about the number of projects completed.

4. Are there any collaborations with SAP consultancy firms in India (such as IBM, Coopers & Lybrand, Siemens, Ernst & Young)? Partnerships can facilitate job opportunities.

5. Do they offer employment assistance? While many claim hiring decisions are performance-based, validate this by reviewing their employment track record (i.e., the percentage of graduates employed).

Good information. Thanks for sharing with all, although I have a doubt whether Pentafour, MAARS, and Logix are authorized institutes for SAP. Do they have authorization from SAP? Check it.

Thanks,

Hi,

For actual information, you can visit www.sap.com.

What I have found about authorized centers in India is as follows: Only Genovate has the license to conduct courses in India. Genovate has two centers in India, in Bangalore and Mumbai. The fees are around lakhs and above, with a course duration of 3 months. They will provide a live project to work along with, conduct tests, and provide a certificate. At times, they also offer 20-25% discounts on fees. If you wish, I can provide you with their official email IDs to contact for updates.

Best wishes,
Pragya

Hi Pragya,

I was a little worried when I read what you had to say about the only authorized trainers in India. I have just enrolled with Siemens Institute in Bangalore. They claim to be the only authorized trainers, and I am paying not 1.25 but 2.25 lakhs. It is correct that I received a Rs. 25,000 discount because I signed up one month in advance of the start date.

Are you absolutely certain about your information? 🙄

Aparna

Hi Aparna,

Siemens is an Authorized SAP Trainer. Please let us know about your experience with the same. What is the growth rate for experienced people? What would be the salary for a fresher? What is the placement guarantee? How is SAP HR? Is it very interesting? Is it worth any HR professional transitioning to SAP HR? Does it enhance skills and provide satisfaction? These aspects are crucial.

Please share your insights and valuable thoughts here. Members are also requested to contribute on the same.

Hi,

I am currently working in a generalist role in a corporate setting with 4 years of experience. Could you please suggest to me if the SAP HR course would be beneficial for me if I were to pursue it? What are the benefits I could gain from it? I am asking this because I come from a B.Com + Diploma in HRD background and I am not very technically proficient. A friend of mine recommended this course to me, so I am curious as to how it could assist me.

Hi,

SAP is a module for all, and it doesn't have any kind of biasness... (just kidding)... You don't need any kind of technological gyan to go for SAP. However, a computer literate person will always have an upper hand. Go for it, and anyways, it will add value to your qualifications.

Please send me details about the SAP HR module. If you have work experience in HR, please let me know. I would like to learn from someone who works in the field. I had a bad experience with a CRM course at an institute in Thippasandra, near Thippasandra Market, Indiranagar, Bangalore. After enrolling, they asked for extra money for some chapters, and I ended up losing both money and the opportunity to learn properly.
