Hi
It was just another Sunday…a rest day… but what was unusual was that a group of professionals fought the Sunday lethargy and made it all the way to DRISHTI at Hotel Mirador!!!!
The afternoon was quite energetic with highly charged and enthusiastic group… Though Rajat was not present, but he ensured that we were moving in the right direction… We missed you a lot Rajat!!!
The meeting started with the introduction of the members in an informal manner. The session was inaugurated by formally lighting of the lamp by four of our members. Next, Jeroo Chandiok led the first half with overview of HR in 21st century, thus clearing the haze around our DRISHTI!!!
Later, the ball was set rolling with the formation of teams and setting the future agendas by Yogesh Pahuja. The details are mentioned in the minutes of the meeting attached herewith.
All the members present have been unanimously selected as members of the Executive Committee for DRISHTI, and we all have pledged that the future DRISHTI Meets will be as rocking as this one!!!!
All the guys who missed this event… really missed the DRISHTI…the vision… hope to see you all the next time!!!

Hi Azing and Team,
The pictures are great. I just wanted to know if they can be bigger like the other meeting pictures. It was a real pleasure meeting all of you and interacting. It was a great experience to have a focused meeting solely on HR, as I have attended several meetings that were not as focused or narrowed down on HR issues, and also to meet seniors in the industry. The level of enthusiasm from every member was sky-high. Special thanks to Jeroo Madam, Suryakant, Azing, Vinod, and Rohan, without whom this meeting wouldn't have been possible. Thank you all. Let's continue the series and rock every time we meet up.
Regards,

DRISHTI was a real eye-opener!! 😱 😛
The level of interaction was great... everyone joined in the discussions, the brainstorming was very productive, and if we can only keep this up, we can really rock the world!
Mega thanks to Anuradha, Vinod, and Rohan for setting up the meet so well, and to Yogesh for stirring up the group so effectively! We really missed Rajat and Rohan's presence and hope they'll be able to make it next time!
We want to make DRISHTI a vehicle for Mumbaikers to scale new heights, and to change the concept of HR to a dynamic, challenging, and effective partner of change.
We need all of you in Mumbai to join us. Contact us on the site or link up to our Yahoo site (details are being worked out). We'd love to have you on the DRISHTI bandwagon.
And everyone else linked to CiteHR in India and in the world at large, please do give us your comments, assistance, and guidance - it would be invigorating and instructive! We'll try to keep you adequately posted on our exploits.
Look forward to the future!

Dear DRISHTI participants and all Mumbaikars,
I have been posting about Delhi and Hyderabad and am enclosing copies:
"Dear All,
It was great to learn how successful Hyderabad members have been in making their Hungama! I especially enjoyed the posts by prabhakarch, penmetsa (Ravindra), srinivaskrmk, satya vegi, and of course CHR! I think you have made some very valid points and our own meets should learn from these.
We have just concluded our own DRISHTI in Mumbai, though on a much smaller scale, but just as intense, I hope! Do log into our report.
I also append an extract from my post to Archna in Delhi:
"What I'd really like to see in the days to come would be a joint meet of all those who have set the ball rolling in their respective cities - Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai (and others too, in other cities) - bonding together in this way would make all of us more effective and productive!"
Perhaps we can start a new site where all reports, photos, and ongoing meets and discussions in all cities can be posted so that all those who are really interested in what is happening all around the country could share the momentum and keep it going! CHR Board Moderator, can you please help?
This site should be restricted to contributions from the members actually organizing the sites. If any other members wish to contribute, they might first contact their own city organizers, who would then forward their contributions to the all-India site.
Would welcome your comments and suggestions!"
Also attached are some of the comments cited above:
"One of the themes for this forum is to develop a platform where HR people at junior/middle level/senior level in the industry interact with each other so closely - can present their ideas and share their knowledge without any inhibitions, egos, superiority complex, and all those so-called negative attitudes.
All like-minded people, especially the CITE HR members from Hyderabad who have a passion to share their knowledge and to proceed further and take this forum ahead for the benefit of HR Respect (Penmetsa).
CiteHR's goal is to promote the vision of a better organization through properly formulated HR policies and good company ethics. HR plays an important role in deciding how an employee feels about his work environment - improve that and we have more productivity, happier employees, and better companies. We hope that in the future, we will be able to make the lives of employees in different organizations much better through the promotion of ethical and good practices, and the offline meets will go a long way in doing that.
My thanks to everyone who worked to make this meet possible - it's a fantastic start. I am going to form a committee of volunteers to give them some authority to organize these meets and also play a more important role in the development and administration of the forum.
One of the key areas is the identification of knowledgeable members and awarding them proper ranks - Archana had brought this issue forward, and I think she is right in saying that we need a more streamlined way of approaching this - so that no valuable contribution is missed. (CHR)
"I am really thrilled to read the feedback on our HR Hungama, which was well-organized and also well-received by the members. Members are surprised to find so many professionals joining their hands for the occasion despite its being the first such gathering. As Prabhakar has rightly said, we have really set a benchmark for others to emulate our learnings. It is suggested that the learnings from discussions we had be put on Cite so that others also would follow the same in a better manner. My congratulations to all members and wish to see all for the next meet. It is heartening to note that Cite admin is taking an important decision to empower the volunteers, which is a welcoming gesture.
My suggestion to other Cite HR members going to organize such events in their cities is that let the agenda of the meet be very informal and first try to bring more numbers together as at this stage gathering is more important than other issues. Let there not be any idea of having an edge over other forums or members, which is not a healthy trend in knowledge sharing. Hope you all understood my message. (Srinivas)"
So I'm throwing this to you and Delhi - let's rock in unison :D

But tell me, Anuradha, what is the procedure to be a part of such an event and have regular interaction with all of you? I am a free member. Is there some other procedure to become a member? Let me know as I would like to be a part of the next event.

Hi Azing,
That would have been a great meeting, but Rajat should have been there. You have done a great job convening "Drishti," and you have already planned for the next meeting as well. Good job and congrats, Azing. I would love to fly down from Chennai and attend your meeting on the 8th!

Thanks to both Rajat and Azing for their views.
I am delighted that in a city like Mumbai (where normally not many would like to get out of home on a Sunday), you have been able to gather several members for the meet. And I really appreciate the structured way all that has been put together with excellent planning.
As I said, I would be too happy to be part of such dedicated members, and I am sure that I will be able to make it to one of your meets very shortly (if not the Oct 8th one).
Thanks,
