Dear Sir,
Many of us need information on minimum wage rates of salaries, which vary from company to company. Could you please provide us with the names of websites where we can easily find this information?
We are in the field of labor consultancy and require this information frequently.

Dear All,
Each state government publishes the rates applicable for basic pay + Dearness Allowance (DA) for each category of labor. You can easily obtain such publications from the gazette provided by the agency that offers you services or visit the state government publications department. I do not believe this information is available on any website.
Best Regards,
Govind

These have been very recently revised by many states. Maybe only two weeks back, like in Himachal for a USW, it has become Rs. 75 instead of Rs. 70. You won't be able to spot it online, but you can get the categories, of course.

Dear All There is old Jungle saying 'Dhoondanese Bhagwanbhi Mil Jataa Hai' in English ' if you search you can get God as well'. Cheers says Ganesha
Be positive to search and don't depend on anybody. It leads to your ability to know more and more.

Dear Chandrakant,
The Statutory Minimum Wages do not vary from company to company but are fixed for a particular class of industry in a specific region for a particular group of employees. This notification is issued bi-annually by the Labour Directorate, which is generally under the Labour Statistical department of a State.
You are required to submit an application to the particular Labour Inspector/Assistant Labour Commissioner in charge on your company's letterhead, stating the nature of the industry and region. Usually, you can also obtain it from vendors outside, but remember the government is supposed to provide it to you for free.
