Hi Deepti,

There are a number of activities that one can do to keep the team bonding strong. Let me tell you one activity to start with:

1. Ask all employees, or process/team-wise, to get one of their baby pictures.
2. Paste all these pics on a chart paper without mentioning the names of the people.
3. Conduct a vote for the cutest baby.
4. Once the voting is done, display the baby pic along with the adult pic.

Try it out and let me know what response it generates.

Good luck,

Hi,

There are a number of projects running in any organization. People work under their respective projects without having any knowledge of one another. You can organize knowledge-sharing sessions voluntarily by inviting speakers from such projects and can have a 1-hour or 2-hour session each week. This will enhance employees' knowledge and increase their morale.

Hi,

You can ask all the employees to share how they are commuting to the workplace, and then you can tell them what precautions they can take while traveling. They can share any good or bad experiences during travel. In this way, you will be able to engage them and provide them with valuable tips for travel safety.

Hi, Deepti,

Regarding the activity mentioned by Parvathy, you can add a small write-up about the person or write answers to 10-15 rapid-fire questions like your pet name, your hobby, your fear, what you love, what you cherish, etc. The most creative and wackiest answers can earn a prize! Worth a try?

All the best,

Hi, I have got an idea. It seems simple but requires hard work in creating that. You have to make short stories, and no sentence of it should be interconnected. Like, say, Santa and Banta were college friends. They studied history. Tuglaq was a great king. In "Chak De," the girls called Shah Rukh Khan "Tuglaq." Santa was confused for his post-graduation, and so on. This was the easiest I could tell you. You have to prepare it, recite to the audience, and ask them to recite it back. Try it and tell me the response.

Another idea is using lateral thinking pictures quiz which you can place on the notice board too.

Hi,

Few Employee Engagement Ideas...

1. Organize a cooking competition.
Organize a food mela and have teams prepare different dishes to sell to other teams. The team that makes the most sales wins.

2. Recognize Who's that?
Create a puzzle around an individual. Send key/peculiar features about an individual on your floor and let others identify who is being talked about.

3. Create tongue twisters and mix up news. Ask employees to unravel individual pieces of news.

Do post how these work.

Cheers!

You can try one-minute activities. Get a team winner; then inter-team winner who will be the final winner for that deal. One-minute games like the number of songs that can be sung in a minute using the word "dil", "pyaar". Sounds easy; but is very difficult. Have tongue twisters games; have quizzes about the company policies (learning cum entertainment).

Can I get more ideas specifically for voice process; which is easier to handle.

Hello all,

Here is one more activity that we conducted in our company: creating a collage.

1. Firstly, have 2 or 3 groups created within your team.
2. Ask them to come back with their interested topics for discussion - Politics, Cinema, Mobile Phones, etc.
3. You need to have plenty of old newspapers and distribute them to the groups.
4. They need to identify clippings and news related to their chosen topics, cut and paste them onto a chart.

Finally, you can post those charts prepared by them on the notice boards and ask other team members to rate them.

I found good initiatives in employee engagement programs as you all described above. Try creating a team with members from different departments and then divide them into 4-5 groups for presentations on various topics. This approach can have a positive impact on their behavior, helping them overcome any hesitation in interacting with strangers and making friends within a given time frame.

Snap a picture of your employees displaying different gestures and postures indicating a message without their knowledge. Then, paste each picture on the fun board, one by one, assigning one employee per day. Finally, inform the employee about their featured picture on a particular day. Hopefully, this gesture will bring a smile to their faces.

Hi Everyone,

In my organization, I had organized "Back To College Days." For three days, we celebrated different days that we had in college, such as Traditional Day, Black & White Day, and Twins Day. On all three days, we awarded prizes to the best employee. The celebration took place across PAN India.

Give it a try. It was a big success.

Shrutika

Hi,

I aim to create team spirit among them through ice-breaking sessions, group discussions, a one-day trip, cultural programs, and sports activities. I suggest dividing the whole group into various teams and empowering the team captains to take the initiative. Encourage positive competition among the teams, with HR overseeing as the coordinator.

All the best!
