Hi!

I was appointed as an executive secretary and then after 1 and a half months, I was asked to handle the front desk, which I have been doing for the past month. Meanwhile, I started searching for another job and now I have found one.

Now, I want to submit my resignation letter in which I would like to mention that I am leaving because they changed my profile.

Could you please advise on the format I should use?

Thanks,
Jyoti

Hi Jyoti,

Even I have faced the same condition as you. Please let me know how you resigned. I was handling the HR & Admin department, and now, I have been handling the front desk for a week, but I do not want to continue in this role.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Take care.

Hi Jyoti,

According to me, you should not mention any such sentence because while shifting, they must have asked you regarding the same. If without prior notification they have shifted, then it is your mistake that you have started and continued for 1 month. You should have objected at that moment itself because it was not your promotion; it was a demotion, so it is also your mistake. Now, as you have already got a new opportunity, just give the resignation letter. Also, during the exit interview, they will definitely ask this question, so then you can explain your point.

Thank you...
